  • "Awful experience!"

  • My brother and I stayed 5 nights at the Radisson on a business trip to shanghai to be near (or so we thought) to the national exhibition centre. Late booking meant we didn't have a huge variety of hotels to choose from. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE IMAGES FOR THIS HOTEL! Check in/ room Apon arrival don't be expecting any English speaking hotel staff. Download a translation app before arrival as the wifi connection is awful. After changing room 4 times due to nearby construction noise, broken air con units, a room with a stench of cigarettes even though they advertise this hotel as environmentally friendly and smoke free, we eventually had a room. Expect basic! 1 small free bottle of water each day, uncomfortable furniture and pillows, small windows with restricted airflow, no air con that works in any rooms apart from the lifts. The toilets don't flush well in the rooms and do not take any tissue! So you will need to put all tissue in the bin, which won't be emptied until the next mornings maid clean. All bathroom plug holes need to be kept close because the smell coming from them is unbearable! Facilities The gym is by far the best part of this hotel, lots of new equipment. Don't expect free water here either. Bring a swim cap and full costume if you wish to swim. But also be prepared for many Chinese men to be sat around the edge of the pool during mid-week peak times which can make the experience very uncomfortable. If travelling to the international exhibition centre there is a badly driven free bus but it only leaves at 7:30am or 9:30am which is no good when most shows starts at 9:30 and it's a 20 min drive away in good traffic. There's a return service at 6:30pm but good luck finding the location of the pick up. Especially when most shows close at 4:30pm! Food There is nothing good to say about the food at this hotel. Breakfast mid-week is very busy with people who will rudely push you aside or jump queues to get ahead of you. Tables aren't cleared and you will be expected to sit at the same table as other people as the room is not big enough for all guests. The lounge and main restaurant is freezing in the winter as there's no doors separating the front door and those areas. Not ideal in November! There's a huge wine list but only 2 are available, 1 white and 1 red. Menus are very limited and the western food particularly is awful. Please don't be reassured that there might be restaurants locally because there's not a western style restaurant in reach. The nearest is 20km if searching on Trip Advisor. Service Side from the language barrier which is fine when the staff actually helpful and friendly. The staff here are... I guess the only word to explain is lifeless! Theres no energy or effort put into anything. You are not walked to a table during breakfast, lunch or dinner service. You have to call them over to place orders. You're not offered hot drinks at breakfast even though there's not facility to help yourself. Coffee at breakfast is not free! There's no room service menu and it's impossible to place an order by phone. Very overpriced for what should be a 2* rated hotel.

  • 酒店地理位置较为方便车程距离虹桥机场很短,客房内硬件设施都比较新,前台员工接待时很有亲和力,对于酒店各个场所以及用餐开放时间介绍详细尽责。
